These boots are great in terms of durability and comfort, but they are not for those (like myself) with larger calves. I sized up in the boots which made the foot itself too big, but I was able to squeeze my calves in. Ideally it would be nice to have a wide calf option, but I’m still happy with them. If the calves are tight, make sure to wear thick socks that go over your ankle to prevent rubbing from the shaft of the boot sagging.
