Ordered 7 regular first, but was extremely loos around my foot. Returned and ordered the 6 regular, which is still loose but fine if wearing 2 pairs of socks. I was disappointed that the 6 regular doesn't seem to have the same sole support like the 7 had. Not sure why there was this difference.Pros: Great grips. Warm. Sturdy leather. Have received lots of compliments.Cons: Sizing is strange. Size Regular cut off circulation in my already small calves. Ordered a size Wide so I could wear leggings and pants and not have to amputate my legs.I'm a size 9 in boots and I struggle finding boots that hug my small calves. I originally ordered size 9 regular. The boot was too large in the foot and the calves were so tight that it cut off circulation. I was surprised! Never had that problem before. Reordered size 8 Wide. The ankle is a bit big and roomy now. The calve fits up until where the fabric bows out (looks like for an actual muscular calve) so there's extra fabric there now. *shrug*. Boots are beautiful and I FINALLY found a pair of tall, black leather, winter boots with GRIPS. I live in Marquette, Michigan and the seasons here are brutal. We live in the wild, so I need functionality and GRIPS. I also wanted something that I could dress up/wear with dresses in the winter that could withstand the weather. These are it. All around satisified.I ordered these for myself and my sister. They are very nice quality boots, but we have to return them. They didn't fit me well in the foot bed area and they were too restrictive in the calf area for her. We both wish they would have fit us better because they came quickly and seem like a well made boot.I had to return these boots. Far too tight in my calf. Surprising, because I had a previous pair in black in the same size that fit fine.Beautiful color. Disappointed, but loved the last pair, warm without sweating. If you don’t have fat calf’s, highly recommend!The fit is ok, I wish they had another option of a Tall. These are a little short in my leg. Comfortable! Not a fluffy as I would have like in the inside but so far with a good ski sock they have been good. Broke in quickly.They seemed like a well constructed boot , but did not fit my foot / calf shape.Foot size seemed to run large, calf size ran small. I took appropriate measurements according to the manufacturer’s size chart.I am so sad, I am a size 7 with a wide calf and these boots are HUGE. I am surprised the sole is so thin and the cushion on the sole is not really a cushion, it is like walking on cement when I step. I don't want them. I can't wear them. I would have had to order a size 6 and a regular calf....they seem like they are fake or a knock off, they are built really weird...I have bought tons of boots for equestrian usage in my life and this purchase was my first fail. Now to figure out how to do a return which I wish I did not have to do :(I love these boots. They have a sturdy sole, good leather, and are very comfortable. I bought the wide calf, which I normally need, and I probably could have gotten by with a regular calf, the wide calf is quite big. Even so, these stand up to mucking and are comfortable to ride in.
