I have owned a pair of size 5 Sundance II boots for about 8-9 years and have loved them dearly. When they'd finally run through their functional lives, I had to get a replacement. Lo and behold, that size is no longer available ANYWHERE (I tried Amazon, eBay, other online sellers, random shoe shops in NYC, Bloomingdales, department stores, etc). The style is hard enough to find! So I decided I'd give the Sunburst a try....ordered a size 5 again - I'm usually a 5.5-6 in any shoe. The boot is undoubtedly thinner than the Sundance II. If that isn't a huge concern, then it might be the shoe for you. The fur on the sides also goes down to the bottom, rather than stopping at the ankle. Finally, the toe box is narrower than the Sundance II. I thought I had narrow feet, and perhaps a size 6 would have sufficed, but in the size 5 even my feet felt extremely cramped after a couple days of wear. I hoped they'd break in, but I assure you that never happened. NYC got hit by a huge snowstorm so I was forced to wear them out as it's my only pair of winter boots...but I hope to recuperate some of the money in reselling them since I've only worn them a couple days.I eventually settled on the Sundance II in size 6 (which, by the way, the recent version is about an inch or two taller than the decade old version I had) since I couldn't find a size 5 anywhere. It is perhaps slightly large for me, but still preferable to the Sunburst. Somehow the fur just feels...nicer to me as well. Not sure if it's just my mind or if there's an actual difference though.I had them inspected and confirmed at 2 separate UGG Australia retail locations. This is my second time purchasing these boots. They are discontinued and I was sooo excited to find them on Amazon and not at an outrageously inflated price. I wear a 9, but purchase all of my UGG Classic styles in a size 8. These were purchased in a size 8 and are a bit uncomfortable...I'm not sure if they need to be broken in or if the sizing is off. My last pair were also a size 8 and I had no issue.UPDATE: I had to purchase a 9 the 8 rubbed my heel on these newer ones.My favorite UGGS of all. I even wore them with shorts lol. Leggings, jeans, a skirts and a shirt dress and each look was amazing. They fit true to size. Thick sole is great for year round wear. I really like the placement of the shearling design because it gives definition to your legs giving your calves a slightly bow and full look. This style was discontinued by Ugg but is slowly resurfacing in some stores. I searched for them online and then spotted them in Century 21 in full supply so they may be making a comeback after years of being out of distribution. You will not be disappointed with these. I may order a second pair as a back up because I wear them just that much.I really like the style of this boot. The only thing is it's a little wider in the leg than I expected, but I guess it's because the boot can be rolled down. But even rolled down its still wider than I wanted. If you have large legs you might be fine. The color was nice, but I thought the thickest of the boot leg was slightly thinner than I thought. Overall the price was a little high for the quality of this boot. I have no doubt that the boot is authentic, according to the testing instructions, I just hoped it wasn't so flimsy for the price. This is my second pair after 8 years they gave out so I bought these. I love them, they fit great, plenty of calf room, nice on your feet and so warm. It feels like you are in slippers all day and in Alaska these are AMAZING!!! Great quality and a must on my recommend list. They are a splurge but a used them tons and they held up great until puppy decided to rip a few chunks out of the sides and then the seam on the boot split but like i said after 8 years and they had to have been used more than 1000 times!Love these boots!! I debated quite some time about going with the Sundance versus the Sunburst, but I’m so thankful I chose the Sunburst! I love the hard rubber sole! I wore these up in Idaho in the snow and they held up beautifully. Plus the rubber sole added some additional traction. I only wish that these are made of the same waterproof material that the Sundances claim to be made with. I would definitely recommend these!!They don't feel as soft and plush as my very first sunburst from 5yrs ago but they are authentic according to the barcode scanning ability on the left shoe. They are comfy and super warm. I'm going to keep them. The difference is minute and these aren't sold/produced anymore by the Ugg company. Glad I got my hands on them now before they are all gone.I returned my Orellens because a size 10 was really small, and I said the heck with it. I've wanted the Sunburst (Sundance knockoff) forever, so I ordered them even though they cost a lot more. I have a size 9 Classic and a size 9 Essential, and when I ordered the Orellen it said they were true to size so I ordered a 10 (which is my true size... I was told to order the other two pair a size smaller when I ordered them like 10 and 7 years ago). When the Orellen showed up too small, I ordered the Sunburst in a larger size than I usually wear and they are just HUGE.I hate that I have to repackage them and send another pair of Uggs back. Consistent sizing would be great. I bought a pair of Uggs last year that were way too small. I sent those back and just decided to go without. I'd be a far more consistent buyer if internet purchases of Uggs weren't so unpredictable.I ordered the wrong size, I ordered one size larger, so I can wear thick socks underneath them in the winter, so it balances it out, I've had a pair of these UGG boots for, roughly seven/eight years now, & they are the best, I thought I would never ever get another pair, as, I tried on the official UGG website and, they said they no longer do them, it wasn't until I tried on Amazon, that I got them, I'm ecstatic, these are the most comfortable boots I have ever had, & worn, I still wear my old one's, but only for planting my bulbs into my pots on the patio, when the weather isn't to warm, if you buy these boots, YOU WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED, I only brought new ones, as I cannot get my old one's cleaned anywhere, & I'm so glad I did, if you are thinking about buying a pair of warm, fashionable, comfortable boots, these are the one's, you will never regret it.I already own several pairs of Ugg boots - some of the Ugg Australia brand, as these are - and several other makes.I have to say these are the best fit and most attractive of all the pairs I own. My calves are on the larger side but these are fine with leggins tucked in. They are also a perfect size 4 - although I know they will probably stretch as all sheepskin boots do. Sole is more substantial than the classic "Ugg" style which is a bonus.I thoroughly recommend!Love my boots and I still have them. I also bought a pair for my daughter.Excellent boots have a supporting upper at the heel which keeps your feet in correct alignment they look Great ?Fake product
