I'm about 6'1 and I'm very happy with the quality and fit on these pants. Looking at the picture you can't tell at the ankle that it has the elastic. When the pants arrived I was disappointed because that wasn't the look I was going for. But once on there was enough length and weight to allow the fabric to completely cover the bottom. It's not a heavy fabric, so it's fine wearing them on a warm day without over heating. I wouldn't expect for these pants to provide much warmth in the winter because the fabric is thin. I'm tall but not big, if I was overweight I'd probably not be happy with these pants. For me they are exactly what i was looking for and have a relaxed fit.
