I read many reviews and the description carefully, as well as watched the video to watch a pair of boots being made, to decide if I was going to order these boots.I ordered a 7 and found that my toes were right at the edge of the boot. I returned them and got an 8. I am so glad I bought them! My feet run narrow and these boots fit and still leave room for me to wear thick socks for colder weather and still have room to keep my feet comfortable!I’m ordering for my daughter, too.I was also happy they offer short and tall boots depending on where/if you want the edge to reach the knee.I love, love, love my Hunter boots! Rainboots aren't supposed to have some amazing arch support but that doesn't bother me a bit. They are very comfortable. I love how tall they are, they come up to just under my knees. The snug fit is really nice on my calves. Being tall, they look even better in my opinion. I love the matte black color. I plan to purchase more in fire engine red! Keeps the rain and mud out, feet dry and warm. They look great with my leggings in every color. Highly recommend. They were shipped SO fast from the U.K. it was shocking. I loved how Amazon sent me text messages from DHL to let me know the status of my shipment. Really excellent communication, will definitely purchase from this seller again.I really like these...they look great! However, since I'm not a sock person, they get totally stuck on my feet if I have worn them to walk around...Yes, I have socks that I will try...and I'm sure that the problem will be eliminated...and the review would then be 5 stars. But for now, since I'm 5'4" and the boot comes up to my knee...it is an absolute struggle to get one of the shoes off.(Usually the second one, since the remaining one doesn't have the advantage of the other foot helping out.)I've even had to ask for help once at the doctor's office. Hah!These Hunter Boots are awesome but beware of where they are shipping from!!! I bought these and decided I wanted the gloss finish so I went to return them and they had to be sent back to the UK not to Amazon, so I had to sell them on Ebay-it was totally my fault, I should have paid more attention to it, oh well. I ended up buying a second pair from the Hunter website to make sure I could return them and not pay shipping out the wazoo if I didn't like them-but I love them so I didn't have to worry about that.I typically wear an 8.5 but had read that these run big so I bought the 8. It fits everywhere, foot length, calf width (I had heard it had a narrow shaft) but after I get them on, I have a heck of a time trying to get them off because the ankle shaft is very small. I usually ask my husband to help me take them off, because if that. They are very comfortable though.Great boots for the rainy southeast winters. Wife says they are very fashionable, stylish, and great for rainy days. She loves these as one of her Christmas presents. I think they are overpriced, but they do look very nice on her. She prefers the matte finish and not the glossy finish. She had them on today with jeans and a nice sweater and they really looked great on her. It has been very sloppy and rainy throughout this winter and they have served her well when having to cross sloshy yards for all the holiday get togethers.Haven't worn these yet because it's July, but when I tried them on I love the look, even with shorts! I have wide feet and they were a bit tight to get on and off but once on I had plenty of room. I wear a 8.5-9 normally and sized down to an 8. The height is also good, right below the knee (I'm 5'7"). Looking forward to fall to wear with leggings and dresses!I loved these boots, the problem was it did not fit around my calves, not a big deal. The problem I had was it cost me $25.00 to return theses and I am still waiting on my refund. I fell like the company could do a lot betterEdit - review updated six months in:I really hope these are fake knock-off because the alternative is that a great British brand seems to have gone sadly downhill. After just a month, a crack opened up in the ankle. I thought maybe I'd caught it on a sharp rock -my fault- so glued it and carried on. One month later a crack appeared along the toe seam. Also glued. Now cracks are appearing everywhere.I was so confident in the brand, I threw out the box and 'certificate' and they're also covered in so much glue, I don't think they would be accepted back.Really sad as they're still really comfortable. For reference, I walked the dog in them for about an hour each day for most of the winter, less so in summer. Mud, pebble beaches, salt water etc - but my husband's Muckboots have weathered fine.If you're tempted to buy these, make sure you keep all the info to return them._______________________I love Hunters, always have - they are, for me, the ultimate comfy walking boots where I can go for miles over various terrains without blisters. But I have pretty slim calves and it's still a real struggle to fit anything other than a wellie sock there. I need a heavy duty boot jack to get them off too.The tightness around the calves and ankles is what makes them so comfortable for walking imho so it's not something I would complain about, but I do warn you that unless you consider yourselve to have slim calves, heed the warnings of the other reviews and do not buy these. Instead go for the stretchy/bigger calf version.Do not buy these. They are a total waste of money. After less than 12 months of use they have split down the sides and leak really badly. Even worse than this, the rubber has degraded on the top so they leak here as well. There is no way the latter can be classed as general wear and tear. It is simply indicative of a poorly made product made with poor quality material. Rubbish.Really lovely pair of wellies. However they didn't last very long. I have had them for over a year now but they developed holes in them just after a few months of wear. Gutted because I expected them to last at least a couple of years and unfortunately I can't afford to buy a new pair just yet.Had these for a few years now and they are still going. On the walks wandering through the streams or digging up a muddy veggie patch, you can always rely on these babies. Also, can totally rock them in town on a rainy day after giving them a wash :DI would recommend to buy a size up from your normal shoe size, just so you can get in and out of the boots a bit easier and if you want to wear thick wellie socks with them.Service from Amazon was excellent. Had heard a lot about Hunter boots so was excited to get them at such a good price. They arrived in great condition (apart from box) but the soles are really thin. One of the heels was loose Wasn't the quality I was expecting was really disappointed. Felt poor quality especially quality of the soles. I wouldn't even trust them for a weekend at glastonbury. So am going to take my goldigga tall boots. These were cheap comfortable and better quality. Thank you Amazon great service. Just don't think much of hunters and wouldn't buy them again. My pair is up for sale.
